This lovely headband adds a sunny, flirty splash of color to almost any outfit. Headbands were very popular accessories in the 1960′s, and are enjoying a strong resurgence today. It’s a bold and sassy alternative to a hat or fascinator for women who want to be noticed. Practical as well as pretty, they keep long hair or bangs back out of your eyes, so convenient on a breezy day. They also look great with upswept or short hair.

Headband SE-HB-5 shown is for sale. It’s made of a deep rose and tan iridescent silk dupioni that shines like brightly burnished copper when the light strikes it. This beautiful 2″ wide band is embellished on one side with a spray of lavender and deep purple silk dupioni calla lilies designed by MaryGwyneth, each finished with a mother of pearl center bead, and deep green velvet leaves. A rust silk flower rosette with gold metallic thread edging and beaded center finishes the spray. The flowers can be worn right or left.

The back elastic casing makes it easy to slip on and off, and fits most head sizes from 21-23″.

To preserve the original colors, clean in a lingerie bag using a home dry cleaning kit like Dryel, on a low heat setting.
